"Anders Zorn Midsummer dance"

Come and celebrate Midsommar now that summer is really here!  Please bring your friends and show them how we Swedes celebrate a traditional Midsommar with food, dance, and songs around the midsummer pole.

The SCSL will provide with the traditional Midsommar food - meatballs, boiled potatoes, herring, and soft drinks such as lemonade and coffee.

We will decorate and dance around the Midsommar pole and have games for the kids.  Family and friends of all ages are all welcome.

Please bring along an salad, side dish or dessert. We would like to suggest it be done by last name alphabet range which looks a little odd, but it works for our membership list.

A-E  - please bring or salad
F-R  - please bring side dish
S-Z  - please bring a dessert

But if this cramps anyone's creative Swedish cooking style and you have a favorite Swedish dish you love to prepare and it doesn't fit into the scheme above, please, by all means do that.  A word of caution, since the weather is likely to likely to be warm, we need to be careful with dishes containing dairy or eggs.  Just a reminder.

Please bring some flowers if you can.
