Scandinavian Special Interest Group

The St Louis Genealogical Society formed the Scandinavian Special Interest Group (S-SIG) with its focus on people with family ties to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, and the Sami people. This S-SIG finds itself pursuing people far and wide, much like the Vikings of old, but very few in the St Louis area. These technically advanced countries have common patterns in the way they record family life data so research skills used to learn more about one country will benefit anyone in the group who is researching someone from another Scandinavian county.
